Today I want to start a series of writings recalling the recent visit to Madrid. I apologize since I have had a bit left the Blog. I was traveling from one continent to the other. Those who follow me on my social networks know very well that this summer 2018 has been total madness and is not over yet. That is why I have chosen to tell you some summaries from now on that goes a little beyond my post travel adventures. If you want to read a bit of my first experience in Europe I invite you to read the following articles.
This time I want to tell you the zero day in Madrid. It was sponsored by 3 great characters from my university who hosted me that first night or day. Of course they become new friends. [I have to thank my cousin Juan David for helping me get these contacts]. They are Juan Camilo Romero, Juan Camilo Escalante and Francisco Valencia. Colombians and Caliños of pure knowledge who were studying in the mother country.
After 9 hours by plane and a very nice conversation with my seatmate and about 2 hours more by subway I could get to their floor. Perfect time to watch the friendly match between Colombia and Egypt in a Mexican restaurant with Colombian music !. What I did not know was that this was the perfect excuse to give Jet lag a fight. That night I was going to keep going. The game did not end in the 90 minutes until the next day perfect time to say that I had not slept in 48 hours … That day I met the Madrid nightlife with a Latin and European touch a perfect mix. I will never forget to pass by a taxi through the door of alcalá at dawn. Remember the flamenco steps of Seville that I remember so much since my last visit to this beautiful country.
Long live the terrible mixture of aguardiente with tequila. The hangover at sunrise was indescribable and endless but it was worth this experience with these new great friends. The next day getting up cost me a lot but it had to be done to continue with the trip. Thank you very much guys for the hospitality provided that day.
Fun fact that my friends reminded me in a whatsapp group and that the day I arrived dismissed Mariano Rajoy … Since then a series of events happened every time I went from one place to another … They implemented the nickname like the Jaguar’s curse hahahaha.
